Fritz Olsen, a Michigan resident, has been sculpting with beautiful marble and stone for many years. His works are placed in private and public commissions all over the United States.
Mr. Olsen's latest project is a downtown sculpture which was dedicated Veteran's Day of 2010. The sculpture, named Torch Ribbon, was chosen as the recipient of the Mt. Vernon, Illinois Pride Award during the Cedarhurst Biennal Competition and Maquette Exhibition.. It was placed on the courthouse grounds and emphasizes the patriotism which inspired the piece. Mr. Olsen personally selected the marble, which is the Vermont white.
